MEYBO HSX AL FRAME

The most high-performance frame in the MEYBO range, the HSX AL, is a competition piece. This frame is a perfect choice for those seeking something highly performant without necessarily opting for a carbon frame. With increased stiffness and cutting-edge technology, this new aluminum HSX frame is the fastest in the Meybo aluminum frame range. Lightweight, responsive, stable, and rigid, it offers all the desired benefits in one product.

Its geometry has been specially designed for championship tracks and World Cup courses, providing a perfect balance between maneuverability and stability at very high speeds.

For the 2024 model, several important specifications need to be considered. Regarding braking, this frame is only compatible with the "Flat-mount" caliper. This means that the brake caliper is directly attached to the rear base of the frame. For optimal finishing, two fixing screws pass through the rear base of the frame to hold the brake caliper in place.

This configuration only works with 120 mm discs; the frame is not compatible with 140 mm discs.

Depending on the sizes, the bottom bracket changes standards. For Expert, Expert XL, and Pro 21 sizes, it is the BB86 standard (Ø41mm).

For larger sizes, there is a Pressfit BB386 (Ø46mm). This allows for better stiffness and limits torsion during pedaling.

To maintain a constant rear chainstay length regardless of the gear used, this frame comes with a 15mm thru-axle. This significantly increases the stiffness of the rear part of the frame. This configuration requires a rear hub with a 15mm axle. The axle itself is made of 7005 aluminum, fully CNC machined.

To maintain a constant chain tension, Meybo has designed a chain tensioner that ensures optimal transmission regardless of the chosen gear. To optimize chain tension adjustment with this tensioner, it is advisable to use a chain with half-links for more precise adjustment.

In summary, the HSX is equipped with new tubes compared to the previous model. It is made of high-quality aluminum (6061-T6) with multiple thicknesses of hydroformed tubes to optimize weight without compromising strength. A new rear dropout is designed to accommodate a fixed thru-axle and a Flatmount disc brake.

Designed and intended for competition, whether at high speed on a World Cup track or in the top position on an indoor circuit, the HSX is a formidable weapon for racing.
