SHIMANO DEORE XT M8110 FLAT MOUNT DISC BRAKE KIT

The SHIMANO XT brake kit consists of a Shimano XT BL-M8100 brake lever and a BR-M8110 brake caliper.

The Deore XT range is one of Shimano’s high-end braking systems. Its lever is angled to provide two contact points on the handlebar, increasing stiffness and improving feedback. It delivers very powerful braking with a relatively short lever stroke for better control and modulation of braking intensity.

Its single-piston caliper ensures efficient and powerful braking for BMX Race use. It shares the same design as previous XT M8000 calipers, meaning it is compatible with resin pads G02A/3A/J02A/3A or metal pads G04S/J04C.

The key feature is its mounting system: Flat Mount. This system is designed to be mounted directly onto the frame. No disc brake adapter is required—your frame simply needs to be Flat Mount compatible. It can be identified by two mounting points on the rear chainstay.

Only a few frames are compatible with Flat Mount calipers, including Meybo HSX frames (Carbon / Alloy).

The Flat Mount system is designed to reduce bike weight and provide a cleaner finish. It is widely used in road cycling to increase stiffness and improve braking power.
