The most high-performance frame in the MEYBO range, the HSX AL, is a competition piece. This frame is a perfect choice for those seeking something highly performant without necessarily opting for a carbon frame. With increased rigidity and cutting-edge technology, this new HSX aluminum frame is the fastest frame in Meybo's aluminum frame range. Lightweight, responsive, stable, and rigid, it offers all the desired advantages in a single frame.

Its geometry has been specially designed for championship and World Cup tracks, offering a perfect balance between maneuverability and stability at very high speeds.

For the 2024 model, several important specifications need to be considered. Regarding braking, this frame is only compatible with "Flat-mount" calipers. This means that the brake caliper is directly attached to the rear dropout of the frame. For optimal finishing, two mounting screws pass through the rear dropout to secure the brake caliper in place. This configuration requires an internal hose routing within the frame. It is absolutely necessary to provide a "J-KIT" or "C-JET" disc brake kit. With a "Flatmount" mount, it is impossible to mount a brake kit with a hose routed outside of the frame.

This configuration only works with 120mm discs; the frame is not compatible with 140mm discs.

Depending on the sizes, the bottom bracket standard changes. For Expert and Expert XL sizes, it uses the EURO standard, also known as BSA or EB24. For larger sizes, it uses a Pressfit BB86 (Ø 41 mm) standard. This provides better rigidity and limits twisting during pedaling.

To maintain a consistent rear chainstay length regardless of the gear ratio used, this frame comes with a 15mm through axle. This significantly increases the rigidity of the rear part of the frame. This configuration requires a rear hub with a 15mm axle. The axle itself is made of CNC-machined aluminum 7005.

To maintain constant chain tension, Meybo has designed a chain tensioner that ensures optimal transmission regardless of the gear ratio chosen. To optimize chain tension adjustment with this tensioner, it is recommended to use a chain with half-links for more precise adjustment.

In summary, the HSX is equipped with new tubes compared to the previous model. It uses high-quality aluminum (6061-T6) with multiple thicknesses of hydroformed tubes to maximize weight optimization without compromising strength. A new rear dropout is designed to accommodate a fixed through axle and a Flat-mount disc brake.

Designed and intended for competition, whether it's high-speed racing on a World Cup track or taking the top position on an indoor circuit, the HSX is a formidable weapon for racing.
